Happy Thanksgiving!

Most of you in the U.S. might probably be bewildered by what I'm saying. However, yesterday was a thanksgiving day in Canada. This was my first encounter of any kind of "thanksgiving day" in my entire life as I am from Australia.

Anyway, I guess I will have to get used to this custom as I will be here for another 5 years. So, happy thanksgiving! Thanks to all of you who have left useful comments on my blog. I do learn a lot from all these comments.

I believe that Canadian Thanksgiving is in fact observed in the US as either Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples' Day. Though in recent years this has become a very unimportant (because fairly politically dangerous) holiday.
